The Brendlen’s have always been a huge supporter of the public safety community. They have very direct ties to the Fire, EMS and 911 dispatching service of our community. They have fostered strong relationships with our law enforcement partners through their own experiences. Just as strong as their desire to serve, so is their commitment to philanthropic efforts. They have conducted fund raising campaigns for two of our personnel that unfortunately died as a result of duty related incidents.
The commitment has grown into a charitable organization and I am proud to support their endeavor to grow their opportunities to expand their desire with this charitable organization!
Sincerely,
Chief Russell Wells
Director of Emergency Services

For most of my life I have had the opportunity to give back and help others through my family’s Christmas light display and various fundraisers we did for the community. I am excited to be apart of this organization to be able to help others and give back year round.
My occupation requires me to visit the homes of our senior adults in 4 counties. On a daily basis, I find
My name is Kenzie Stone. I am a member of Caring Hearts of South Carolina for two reasons. I experienced the Brendlen family’s compassion firsthand in 2011. I am grateful for what their family did for mine during such a hard time.
I wanted to join Caring Hearts because I believe they make a huge difference within the community. Chelsea, Barry, and their family have always been able to help other families out and provide great assistance in the community since I was in high school, and I see the work they have done in the community every day. My family has also experienced the impact they have on the community and assistance they provide personally. The reason I wanted to join caring hearts is so I can not only give back to my community, I can have a positive impact in the lives of those people that we are able to help.
I am so excited to be part of Caring Hearts. There are so many people in the Lowcountry that have experienced unexpected tragedy and it is so wonderful to be part of an organization that is able to help uplift and bring joy in their time of need.
My name is Chris Duke and I am the Office Administrator at Camping World in Ridgeland, South Carolina. My wife, Cyndi, and I moved from North Georgia to the Lowcountry June of 2020. We moved to be closer to our Daughter, Savannah, Son-in-Love, Barry, and our precious Granddaughter Eliza Leigh.
